A recursive audit of the checked-out NIKKI-HK project: its running code, missing modules, disconnected interfaces, integration gaps and repair priorities.

Static site + ExpressFirebase Auth / profileNo AI routeNo OS bridge
Audit conclusion

The original is a branded multi-page web shell with Firebase authentication/profile code, not a functioning AI operating system yet. Multiple feature screens cannot load because their imported Brain modules are missing. Several other pages render simulated states that appear live.

Client Firebase configuration is not a server secret. Deployed Firestore rules were unavailable for inspection.

04 · SYSTEM DESIGN

Architecture analysis

What the current code actually does, and the missing boundaries between components.

CURRENT REQUEST PATH
Browser pages→Firebase client auth→Firestore profile

Chat separately POSTs to a local-only URL. The Express server serves static files and reports a hard-coded health status. No Brain, permission, or action service participates.

MISSING OPERATING-SYSTEM BOUNDARY
UI intent→Brain proposal→Permission gate→Execution adapter

No implemented flow validates a proposed action, asks for scoped authorization, or executes through an allowlisted adapter. The Brain source in the page is Python text loaded as JavaScript.

Persistence reality

Firestore usage is limited to user profile documents. Task/goal arrays exist only in page memory; imported memory/settings stores are absent. No backend database, migrations, rules, or retention model is included in the checkout.

Trust and rendering

Several UI scripts interpolate user-provided strings into innerHTML. Browser Firebase access needs deployed rules to isolate users. The static server exposes the source tree and dated backup file.

05 · CONNECTIVITY

Integration status

Not present means absent in this repository, not a failed connection to an intended future service.

Firebase note

The source contains normal browser Firebase configuration values. They are not private server credentials. Authentication/Firestore authorization depends on Firebase Console settings and deployed security rules, which are outside this checkout and were not queried.

06 · REPAIR SEQUENCE

Prioritized repair roadmap

Suggested order for approval; this audit made no repairs.

Future capability work (not counted as code defects)

07 · METHOD

Audit scope & limits

Inspected

All 59 non-dependency project files and four source/resource folders; all HTML asset references; JS module imports and source; project package/lock metadata; server and backup; Firebase client/auth/profile code; UI scripts; sitemap/robots; archived Brain dump; git branch/commit/status; installed top-level packages and tree.

Not externally verifiable

Firebase Console provider toggles, authorized domains, live Firestore rules/data, deployed host behavior, production HTTP headers, CDN availability, Search Console ownership, API credentials outside this workspace, and Android/device permissions.

Validation performed

Local reference/path existence scan, JavaScript syntax checks (Brain.js fails as expected for Python-in-JS), imported-file existence checks, package inventory, and source-level control/data-flow review. No paid services or external accounts were contacted.

Workspace safety

The original directory was read only. The audit report and browser dashboard are under NIKKI-HK-REBUILD/audit/. No secrets or credential values are included in the report.
